Description

SAIC is seeking a Network Engineer to be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network architecture for shipboard C5ISR systems, ensuring robust and secure communication networks in new ship construction.

Work is performed on site in Pascagoula, MS.

Duties:
Design and implement network architecture for shipboard C5ISR systems
Ensure secure and reliable shipboard communication networks design
Coordinate with customer for network requirements
Conduct network performance analysis and optimization
Support the development and review of network-related documentation and design reviews

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor in Science in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or related field; OR Nine (9) years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree
Five (5) years of Network Engineering experience and extensive knowledge C3ISR, C4ISR, C5ISR, and/or C6ISR shipboard systems and architecture

Demonstrates familiarity and understanding of all subject areas in Certification and Accreditation (C&A)
Proficiency in network architecture design and implementation
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices
Ability to conduct network performance analysis and optimization
Knowledge of and experience with evaluating networking functional requirements
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Experience supporting projects in a Shipyard environment

Required Clearance:
Active Secret Clearance

Required Certification:
- Cybersecurity Workforce Level II cert i.e. Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP & a Vendor operating system certification: i.e. Microsoft, Cisco, RedHat, or Linux
- Or must be willing to obtain/pass certifications within 180 days of hire
