We are seeking to hire an Lead DevSecOps Engineer to join our team working on a multi-year award we have within a Federal Gov t Agency, located in Washington, DC. This role is 100% remote.
Being a US Cit only is required for passing the Security Clearance (Dual Cit can also be accepted to pass the clearance requirements).
This position pays a strong salary package with full benefits (including choice of healthcare plans, dental, vision, life insurance, 3 weeks PTO, 11 Paid Federal Holidays, and a matching 401k).
An option for working on an hourly rate is also available for those not needing a full benefits package.

Role Description:
Experienced DevSecOps Lead with experience in Integration Architecture, CI/CD, working in an Agile environment, APIs, Micro Services.
In this DevSecOps & Cyber role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the security and efficiency of cloud-based infrastructure while collaborating closely with clients and internal teams. Your primary responsibility will be to work within a fast-paced environment, leveraging your expertise in AWS infrastructure and GitLab pipelines to address and prioritize cyber-related findings. You will assess the criticality of identified vulnerabilities, determine their actual impact on the project, and provide justifications for findings that may not require resolution. This role demands a proactive approach to balancing security requirements with project goals, ensuring that the client s needs are met without compromising operational efficiency. To excel in this position, you should have hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, utilizing Terraform to create AWS resources and services and have a strong understanding of GitLab CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with cyber risk assessment processes and the ability to evaluate findings critically will be essential. You will need to collaborate effectively with both clients and internal development teams, ensuring that security measures align with project objectives. Success in this role will also require the ability to navigate a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality results. Your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and prioritize tasks based on criticality will be key to thriving in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the client to prioritize cyber findings based on criticality
- Identify if a finding is truly impactful to the project or if justification can be provided for not resolving it
- Collaborate with other DevSecOps and Developer resources
