Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Informatica Data Governance SME to support the growth and activation of an enterprise Data Governance Office within a large technology-driven organization. This individual will help implement and optimize the Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) platform to support data governance capabilities across the business.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic self-starter with deep Informatica knowledge and the ability to work cross-functionally across both business and IT teams. This role will focus on enabling self-service data discovery, supporting data stewardship, and aligning governance workflows with enterprise objectives.
Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Informatica IDMC, with a focus on cataloging, glossary, lineage, and workflow tools.
  • Build and optimize user access workflows (e.g., Marketplace) to support scalable self-service across business units.
  • Collaborate with existing platform admins to fine-tune configuration, user roles, and platform performance.
  • Support technical troubleshooting, system configuration, and coordination with IT and Informatica support teams.
  • Monitor and ensure optimal use of Informatica Processing Units (IPUs) for long-term scalability.

Data Governance Enablement

  • Maintain documentation for the data catalog, including data definitions, classifications, sources, and transformation rules.
  • Enable business-aligned data classification and metadata tagging to support governance adoption.
  • Support glossary-to-dataset mapping, report lineage linking, and integration with tools such as Power BI, Databricks, and DBT.
  • Assist in building out a domain-based data stewardship model and aligning glossary content with enterprise processes.
  • Recommend and prioritize governance use cases that offer measurable business value.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working with Informatica Data Governance tools, ideally within IDMC
  • Proven ability to implement and manage data catalog, glossary, lineage, and workflow automation features.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data governance principles and compliance best practices.
  • Experience managing user roles, access controls, and permission structures within data platforms.
  • Proficient in administration tasks such as console setup, service configuration, and system maintenance.
  • Ability to integrate Informatica with external platforms such as Power BI, Databricks, and DBT.
  • Experience delivering tool-enabled governance outcomes such as glossary coverage and report lineage mapping.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with technical and business teams in distributed environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience contributing to or launching a data governance program or center of excellence.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level data stewardship frameworks and stakeholder engagement models.
