Typical Day in the Role
Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to focus on incident management, reporting, and automation work, particularly with a security focus.
Key projects: This role will contribute to being a developer with an operational focus to include security incident response and site reliability.
Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 30% meetings (with customer, other teams, etc.), 70% head-down focus time.

Disqualifiers: Candidates who have never worked as an FTE in a senior developer role and candidates with only Linux experience and no Windows experience will not be eligible for the role due to the significant conceptual differences between Linux and Windows. Candidates who lack experience in PowerShell and C# will not be considered for the role.
Best vs. Average: The sponsors ideal candidate would be someone with SRE experience. Specifically doing development work - then becoming a manager that felt better being an individual contributor. Reason being, theyd have the understanding of running a team, running a program but would still have the developer skills that most dont have about operations. Bonus if they have on call experience, operational and security mindset and experience, and experience handling sensitive data.
Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on meeting deadlines, work tracking (via Azure DevOps, and project milestones.

1. Minimum 10+ years experience with PowerShell.

Summary:
The main function of a Developer within our team is to work with the Product Delivery Manager of Operations to design, develop, and implement applications, automations, and enforceable controls (via Azure Policy and other ADO) using general languages and technologies (e.g. - C#, KQL, PowerShell) to ensure that our business meets the highest standards of security, privacy, and reliability compliance.
Job Responsibilities:
Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts
Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution
Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area
Work across multiple teams to drive quality, security, and accessibility standards are being met at the highest level of scrutiny
Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment
Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required OR 10+ years of equivalent real-world experience
10+ years experience required
5+ years experience with highly complex projects that involve data-driven analysis
Development experience in C#, PowerShell, KQL
Hands on experience using Azure DevOps
Hands on experience in designing, developing and successful deployment of large scale projects from end-to-end
Hands on experience in following the iterative and agile SDLC
