Location: Chicago, IL (100% Remote)
Duration: Through May 2026
Client Notes 4/30:
- Role is 100% remote. HM and one other resource on the team is in Chicago, but zero preference for them to be local or not.
- This resource WILL work CST hours regardless of where they live.
- Role:
- Works in their cyber security unit, specifically with privacy & "digital trust" space.
- Right now, slated for a 1-year contract. Unsure if it will extend at this time.
- Required:
- Must come from a "software development" background and be able to understand the architecture as well as the development.
- Will be mentoring the engineers and "getting their hands dirty".
- Must have AWS experience.
- Must have .NET experience.
- Must have 6-8+ years of architect experience but targeting 10+ years of overall experience.
- Preferred:
- Nice to have tools, etc.: SIEM, Ping, and OneTrust, DynaTrace, Docker are all nice to have.
- Experience working with security & AI is nice to have.
- Bonus points for "RAI" experience (responsible AI).
- Airline industry experience is a bonus.
- Bachelor's degree is not required, but heavily preferred.
- Certifications are nice to have but at the bottom of the list of nice to haves.
- Interview Process:
- Targeting 2 rounds of interviews.
Description:
- Provide architectural and big-picture oversight for development of new or enhanced software products.
- Responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of the software architecture across the system and providing day-to-day technical guidance to the development teams.
- Define the system, technical, and application architectures for major areas of development and recommend course of action to maintain cost effectiveness and competitiveness.
- Stay up-to-date on business initiatives and objectives, particularly as these relate to infrastructure and development architecture issues.
- Research and implement best practices frameworks/capability models that will control costs, provide higher quality, and/or increase predictability of service delivery.
- Research new technology and development tools to remain abreast of current and emerging technology.
- Recognized as advanced individual contributor.
- Considered subject matter expert within discipline.
- Conducts highly complex work critical to the organization.
- Works without supervision with extensive latitude for independent judgment.
- May assist less experienced peers.
- Typically requires 10 to 14 years of experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
