Fiber Optic Technician- Fayetteville

Job Description

We're looking for a Fiber Optic Technician with hands-on experience in splicing, testing, and installing fiber optic systems in outside plant (OSP) and commercial environments. What You'll Do

• Perform fusion splicing using Corning splicers (M-90, X-77, I-LID, OPTI-SPLICE LID)
• Conduct fiber optic testing using OTDR, Power Meter, and Light Source tools
• Install, splice, terminate, and test fiber in aerial, underground, and inside plant environments
• Troubleshoot and repair fiber systems, perform ring/hot cuts, and install closures and patch panels
• Participate in daily team meetings and travel to job sites with team members

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience with fiber splicing, testing, and installation
• Strong understanding of OTDR operation and trace analysis
• Experience in OSP environments and structured cabling
• Professionalism, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn
• Clean driving record (within 7 years) - company vehicle provided

Nice to Have

• BICSI certification
• Experience with low-voltage systems, DAS, access control, or CCTV
• Department of Transportation OSP work experience

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
