Overview

LMI seeks an experienced Lead RF Solutions Technician to support a DoD client. The ideal candidate will be someone with experience in planning, implementation, and testing of IOT devices. This role will require occasional travel to client and partner locations. This position requires an active Secret clearance. Most of the work can be supported remotely however, candidates must be able to work at a client site on occasion and should reside within 2 hours of the Herlong, CA. Candidates local to the Herlong, CA or Reno, NV areas may find this position easily accessible.

Responsibilities

  • Provides on-site technical expertise and support to oversee the successful operations of electronics, devices, and other system-of-systems components.
  • Develop and deploy wireless data collection and communications solutions tailored to unique operational needs.
  • Recommend and implement hardware, infrastructure, and installation configurations based on facility features and constraints.
  • Develop and analyze communications protocol requirements given dynamic bandwidth, latency, frequency, proximity, and payload requirements.
  • Support development of new wireless communications protocols to enhance logistics processes.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot systems and components, including identifying and mitigating sources of interference and noise.
  • Use RF engineering tools and techniques to optimize system performance.
  • Provide engineering support, optimization recommendations, and troubleshooting for fielded products and infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement test and qualification procedures for wireless communication and data collection systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree desired in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Understands IOT and network engineering.
  • Understands deployment considerations and facilities nuances.
  • Knowledge of RF hardware systems and testing equipment.
  • Experience in providing hands-on training to clients.
  • Professional and detail-oriented work ethic.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
  • DOD Secret clearance required.

Target salary range: $104,040 - $183,600
