JOB TITLE: Microsoft System Administrator II
JOB LOCATION: Remote (RI/MA/CT based preferred)
WAGE RANGE*: $30-32/hr.
JOB NUMBER: Systems Admin I

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the design, deployment and troubleshooting of Enterprise IT systems and solutions.
  • Perform research, troubleshoot, and provide resolution to complex issues for new system technologies, on prem and cloud-based, in physical and virtual deployments.
  • Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Take a leadership role in the development and implementation of project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans.
  • Develop sophisticated system standards and recommend improvements to enhance performance.
  • Define and document best practices and support procedures.
  • Ability to work independently on day-to-day work tasks
  • Assist with hardware, software, and vendor evaluation.
  • Carry out special tasks at Management's direction
  • Interact with staff and other peer groups at the technical level, as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Serve as a point of contact and lead to junior team members

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in computer science or related area is required; a bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2 years of related work experience preferred
  • Microsoft Certifications (MCSE) or equivalent certification in relevant programs desired.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Application Servers and technologies.
  • Microsoft modern management experience.
  • Experience in Identity Management, such as MIM or Okta
  • Experience in deployments and rollouts of new technologies is a plus.
  • An understanding of core networking, operating systems and troubleshooting concepts.
  • Group Policy design and configuration is a plus.
  • Active Directory/LDAP user and group administration.
