Senior Cost Analysis Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Performing varied simple to moderate analyses of aircraft systems including preparation of parametric, analogous, and detailed bottom-up cost estimates
• Supporting design trade studies and cost reduction initiatives throughout the product life cycle
• Supporting supplier engagements with Should Cost analysis of aircraft systems
• Evaluating part manufacturing processes for cost out opportunities
• Establishing cost targets and reporting cost performance metrics for integrated product teams
• Evaluating costs of equivalent supplier products for best value
• Preparing Independent Cost Estimates (ICE) for proposal evaluations
• Promoting standardization of cost engineering best practices across the programs

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in a wide range of estimating activities is preferred but not required
• Prior experience working with the government customers is preferred
• Specific knowledge of one or more cost estimating software systems (TruePlanning, aPriori, SEER, etc.) is preferred
• Aerospace and Defense experience in new product development, production, and sustainment is preferred
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) are required
• Strong writing and presentation skills required
