We're looking for thoughtful, skilled professionals who thrive as trusted partners building technology-agnostic solutions and want to apply their talents supporting customers with difficult and important mission sets.

About the Role

Redhorse Corporation's Cyber Analytics team is seeking a skilled Software Engineer/Developer to play a critical role in supporting a federal customer. You will contribute directly to the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of scalable data processing and analysis applications. Your work will enhance the customer's data flow operations, impacting mission-critical capabilities in both cloud and on-premises environments. You'll be directly involved in improving the security posture of the customer's systems and applications. This is an opportunity to make a significant contribution to national security while working with a team of top-tier engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable data processing and analysis applications in cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform preferred) and on-premises environments.
  • Provide end-user support for developed applications.
  • Conduct application design, development, maintenance, testing, and validation of software builds.
  • Identify enhancements and improvements to the customer's data flow operations and capabilities.
  • Research operations, capabilities, and vulnerabilities of software components, including reverse engineering investigations, and document findings thoroughly.
  • Collaborate with a team to analyze secure mobile applications (Android and iOS), identifying potential security flaws and exploiting weaknesses.
  • Assist in the development of custom data analysis and recovery tools tailored to secure mobile applications.
  • Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Experience/Clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience providing software development support in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Proficiency in at least two of the following languages: C#, C/C++, Java, Python.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Perl.
  • Active Top Secret clearance is required.

Desired Experience

  • Proven experience in cloud application development using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures (serverless computing, microservices, containerization - Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in a cloud environment.
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with network protocol analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump).
  • Knowledge of OS internals and compiler concepts.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP network internals and open-source tools.
  • Experience with industry-standard reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro, Hex-Rays, or OllyDbg.
