Structured Cabling Technician - Wilmington, MA (Amazon Warehouse Project)
Contract | Multi-Month Project with Extension Potential | Construction / Technology Infrastructure
We're hiring Structured Cabling Technicians for a multi-month infrastructure buildout at a new Amazon Warehouse in Wilmington, MA. The project is scheduled to begin in June and will involve installing low-voltage cabling to support the facility's operational systems. While the initial scope runs for several months, there is potential for extended or follow-up work based on performance and project needs.
Who We're Looking For:
We're open to candidates with some relevant experience, including junior-level technicians who are eager to grow in the field. If you've worked in commercial environments like warehouses, offices, or retail spaces, we especially want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, terminate, and test Cat5e/Cat6 and fiber optic cabling
  • Build and label telecom racks, patch panels, and cable trays
  • Route cable through ceilings, walls, and floors in a commercial setting
  • Read and interpret blueprints and network diagrams
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to project specifications
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades on-site

Requirements:
  • Basic understanding of structured cabling practices
  • Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and in physically active environments
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Must have basic hand tools and PPE
  • OSHA 10 certification is required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Commercial cabling experience (offices, warehouses, retail, etc.)
  • Lift certification is a major plus
  • BICSI Installer certification
  • Experience with fiber optic installation and testing

Schedule & Duration:
  • Full-time hours, Monday-Friday
  • Project begins in June and is expected to run for several months
  • Potential for extension or follow-up work based on performance and project needs

Compensation:
  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience
  • Weekly pay through TEKsystems

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
