Job Details

Job Title: Repair Value Stream Technician
Location & Shift: Onsite – 10105 Senate Drive, Lanham, MD 20706 | 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Pay Rate: $22.66/hr W2
Duration of Contract: 6 months with possible extension
Client: Federal division of a leading telecommunications provider

Responsibilities:

• Repair, upgrade, troubleshoot, and program Client two-way radios
• Set up, adjust, and operate test equipment per documented procedures
• Perform diagnostics and validate radio/device performance
• Monitor and verify equipment functionality; run tests and record results
• Collect and document equipment info (serial/model numbers, features)
• Clean and prepare equipment for return to customer
• Support final shipment process and ensure compliance
• Follow established RF/electronics troubleshooting procedures

Required Skills:

• 1–3 years of experience in electronics repair OR Associate's Degree in EE/EET or equivalent experience
• Understanding of RF and electronics theory
• Hands-on experience with telecom test equipment (DVM, Service Monitors, Watt Meters)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Computer-savvy and mechanically inclined
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and follow procedures
• Team-oriented work style

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with two-way radios or MSI/Client communication products
• Cell phone or laptop repair experience
• Networking and computer hardware skills

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English

Physical & Safety Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
