Job Title: Technical Project Engineer
Job location; Newark, CA (Onsite)
Role and responsibilities
Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to develop and maintain Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) for power electronics
systems, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and performance targets.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including technical reports, test plans, validation results, and risk assessments.
Track program timelines across multiple projects, proactively managing risk assessments to optimize cost and schedule impacts.
Plan and schedule outsourced testing activities, ensuring alignment with project milestones.
Manage relationships with the Prototype Builds team, Global Supply Management team, suppliers, and vendors to source critical
components and oversee manufacturing services.
Work closely with in-house test labs to drive testing and validation progress.
Prioritize and manage tasks to ensure project completion aligns with key milestones and deadlines.
Support verification and validation tests for power electronics systems, ensuring compliance with industry and safety standards.
Work with environment, health, and safety team to maintain and improve safety of the lab.
Qualifications
Proven experience in project management in the automotive industry, particularly in power electronics testing and validation.
Experience in DV/PV standards and practice.
Hands-on experience in testing and validation for power electronics systems.
Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or 3DX.
Hands-on experience in testing and validation of power electronics systems, including the use of lab equipment such as battery
simulators, AC/DC power supplies and electronic loads.
Strong technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly"
