Responsible for implementing effective programs to reduce the occurrence of non-conforming products. Methodically analyze deviation events and potential risks within quality defense line structure, brainstorm solutions in a cross functional setting, and implement systemic improvements. Publish daily Scrap/CQDR/Excursion details to escalate tactical response to all manufacturing teams. Determine systemic root cause for deviations and near misses that impact multiple areas. Drive site and department wide projects to improve systemic root causes. Identify or create tools for problem solving to aid areas in risk reduction. Tactical support in guiding areas through difficult Scrap/CQDR decisions. Publish and maintain Product Quality Assurance (PQA) metric status, projections, and goals for the site. Represent Fab 6 in global SWAT meeting. Understand Effective Problem-Solving Methods, for example 8D Education.
May telecommute part-time.
Employer will accept a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Position requires education or experience in:
1. Effective Problem Solving Methods;
2. Implementation of quality programs, including 8D problem solving, Six Sigma, and ISO implementation;
3. Direct Cause, Specific Root Cause, and Systemic Root Cause;
4. Containment actions, corrective actions, and preventative actions;
5. Data analysis skills with structured and unstructured data;
6. Programming Language, including Python.
