Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to lead and support enterprise networking initiatives, with a strong emphasis on Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD). This role will work closely with the VP of Networking to ensure optimal performance, security, and compliance across a hybrid infrastructure.

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to lead and support enterprise networking initiatives, with a strong emphasis on Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD). This role will work closely with the VP of Networking to ensure optimal performance, security, and compliance across a hybrid infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure, including Cisco switches, routers, and next-gen firewalls (FTD).
- Develop and enforce network security policies aligned with financial services regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, SOX, NYDFS).
- Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, and application teams to support seamless service integration and migration.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement proactive solutions.
- Mentor and manage a small networking team, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
- Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance network resiliency, automation, and security.
- Provide escalation support for critical network issues and ensure 24/7 operational readiness.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking.
- Deep expertise in Cisco networking technologies, especially Firepower Threat Defense (FTD).
- Strong understanding of network security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Proven leadership experience, including mentoring and project oversight.
- Excellent troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and present to leadership.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AWS networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, Security Groups, NACLs); Azure networking is a plus.
- Familiarity with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
- Experience with hybrid cloud connectivity (AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, SD-WAN).
- Knowledge of container networking (Kubernetes, EKS/AKS).
