Cloud Migration Architect, Senior
The Opportunity:
Everyone is trying to "harness the cloud," but not everyone knows how. As a cloud computing infrastructure architect, you know how to take advantage of cloud capabilities. On our team of experienced professionals, you'll use cutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms to support your clients as they modernize their IT infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions. We're looking for someone like you to help modernize how we support national security!
You'll closely collaborate with fellow cloud architects and engineers spe cia lizing in AWS to design, migrate, and build cloud solution components. You'll have the chance to work within a DevOps framework to create and manage container apps and use products like Kubernetes to further the mission. You will work on the development of tools and processes to drive DevOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments. The focus is building enterprise cloud-native solutions involving Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, and Azure. You should be able to apply consult ing skills o r extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge to help develop innovative solutions to complex problems.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. You Have:
- 2+ years of experience designing and implementing distributed applications
- 2+ years of experience with sof tware development tools and methodologies
- 2+ years of experience with documentation and written communication
- Experience developing enterprise AWS solutions
- Experience with VDI design and optimization for Citrix on AWS
- Experience building and managing Windows-based virtual machines, large-scale Micro sof t Active Directory environments, and user services such as Unified Comms Platforms
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
- Experience developing enterprise cloud-native solutions involving Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, or Jenkins
- Experience writing scripts using tools such as Python, Bash, or Boto3
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code ( IaC ) and using tools such as Terraform
- Experience with automated testing frameworks
- Experience creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks
- Experience triaging and resolving issues related to both open source and commer cia l tools in public cloud environments
- AWS Certification such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Asso cia te Certification
