RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce is seeking an AI/ML Runtime Analyst (Backend Developer) to join their team. This is a remote position, and the resource must be able to work EST hours. This client is looking for someone with strong backend development skills to develop and operationalize machine learning models that detect fraud, bugs, and exploits in the runtime behavior of smart contracts and blockchain transactions. The ideal candidate will bring experience in anomaly detection and secure backend systems, combining machine learning techniques with robust backend engineering to integrate models into production-grade monitoring tools and services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and deploy ML models to identify anomalies and malicious behaviors in smart contract and blockchain runtime environments
* Engineer and maintain backend services that support real-time data ingestion, model inference, and alerting systems
* Analyze transaction data and logs for indicators of fraud, exploits, or bugs, and develop backend solutions to surface these insights
* Collaborate with blockchain engineers, security teams, and data scientists to integrate models into scalable backend pipelines
* Monitor and tune both ML models and backend performance for accuracy, latency, and reliability in real-world runtime conditions
* Support CI/CD workflows for both ML model deployment and backend services
* Stay up-to-date with the latest in AI/ML and blockchain technology, especially in secure, decentralized system design
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field (preferred)
* 5+ years of proven experience building and deploying ML models for anomaly detection, fraud detection, or cybersecurity
* Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar, with experience in ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
* Experience with backend development using frameworks like Flask, FastAPI, or Node.js to deploy ML models and serve real-time data
* Familiarity with blockchain technology, smart contracts, and transaction lifecycle
* Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and working with large-scale streaming or batch data
* Understanding of API development, system integration, and production deployment in cloud-native environments (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure)
* Ability to interpret complex runtime data and translate it into meaningful security insights
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
This job is not eligible for bonuses, incentives or commissions.
