Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Center Technician to join our infrastructure operations team. This role is critical to supporting the physical infrastructure of our data center, with a focus on rack and GPU deployments, hardware troubleshooting, and break/fix maintenance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data center environments and a strong understanding of server hardware, cabling, and diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform rack and stack deployments of servers, storage, and networking equipment.
  • Install and configure GPU hardware and ensure proper power and cooling requirements are met.
  • Conduct hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting for servers, GPUs, and network devices.
  • Execute break/fix repairs, including part replacements and system reimaging.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of hardware components and update asset tracking systems.
  • Collaborate with remote engineering teams to support system builds and deployments.
  • Ensure all work complies with data center safety and security protocols.
  • Document procedures, configurations, and incident resolutions.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical hardware alerts.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a data center or IT hardware support role.
  • Strong knowledge of server architecture, including rack-mounted systems and GPU configurations.
  • Familiarity with network cabling standards (Cat6, fiber) and cable management best practices.
  • Experience with hardware diagnostic tools and remote management interfaces (iLO, iDRAC, IPMI).
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) or AI/ML GPU clusters.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Network+, or Cisco CCNA.
  • Familiarity with Linux system administration and scripting (Bash, Python).
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $44.00/hr.
