At BlueHalo, an AV Company, our cybersecurity experts don't just protect systems-they safeguard missions. We are seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support our Joint Activities Integration Division and lead security posture improvements for critical mission systems. If you're a proactive, detail-driven professional who understands both compliance and the real-world threats facing defense infrastructure, this role is for you.

You like to do this:
  • Maintain the operational security posture of sensitive government information systems
  • Execute consistent and compliant RMF (Risk Management Framework) procedures
  • Monitor, detect, and respond to areas of non-compliance and unmitigated risk
  • Perform audits and support continuous monitoring of classified systems
  • Assist with reaccreditation activities and updates to System Security Plans (SSPs)
  • Collaborate closely with the ISSM and mission stakeholders to assess and improve security controls

You are required to have this:
  • Bachelor's degree + 8 years of relevant ISSO experience, or
    Master's degree + 6 years, or
    Associate's + 10 years, or
    High school diploma/GED + 12 years of relevant experience
  • IAM Level I certification (e.g., CAP, GSLC, Security+ CE)
  • Deep knowledge of NIST 800-53 controls and RMF processes
  • Experience applying Defense-in-Depth principles and enterprise security architecture
  • Familiarity with STE/STN environments
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance

Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000

The BlueHalo, an AV Company pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several factors including, but not limited to, level of position, job responsibilities, geographic location, scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, alignment with local internal equity as well as alignment with market data.
