Description: Our client is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace)
About the Role

In this hands-on role, you will develop engineering solutions for nonconforming parts and systems on aircraft during production. You'll work across disciplines to ensure safety, compliance, and performance, with the authority to revise FAA-approved type designs under MRB certification.
Key Responsibilities
  • Apply design principles to assess and resolve product and process issues throughout the aircraft lifecycle.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop engineering dispositions for design non-conformances.
  • Evaluate discrepancies across systems including structures (metal and composite), interiors, payloads, electrical systems, propulsion, and more.
  • Represent engineering on the Material Review Board (MRB), collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams.
  • Review and approve design revisions to support production improvements and ensure design intent.
  • Analyze production data to identify and eliminate chronic errors.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Audit MRB activities at domestic and international supplier sites.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Current or prior MRB certification with signature authority.
  • Willingness to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a similar aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success in resolving complex production issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Strong understanding of FAA regulations and type design revision processes.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
  • Typically requires 14+ years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 12+ years, or a PhD with 9+ years.
  • ABET accreditation is preferred but not required.
