The candidate must have deep domain knowledge in energy and utility business processes and be capable of leading architectural decisions, shaping the technical roadmap, and aligning technology strategy with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and development teams to translate business requirements into scalable and secure architectures.
  • Provide architectural guidance across multiple projects in the Energy and Utilities sector, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Define and implement cloud-native architectures using platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
  • Design and govern the development of microservices, RESTful APIs, and integration frameworks.
  • Apply architectural patterns, best practices, and governance frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) across the solution lifecycle.
  • Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of complex production issues.
  • Mentor and guide developers and technical leads to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Engage with clients and leadership to present architectural strategies, risks, and progress.

Required Qualifications:

  • 20+ years of IT experience with a strong focus on Microsoft .NET technologies.
  • Minimum 5+ years working as a Solution Architect on large-scale enterprise applications.
  • Proven experience in microservices architecture, API lifecycle management, and system integration.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure or other cloud platforms.
  • Experience with architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.).
  • Proficiency in designing solutions with high availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with utility/energy sector clients (electricity, gas, water).
  • Hands-on exposure to platforms such as IBM Maximo, SAP IS-U, GIS (Esri), or SCADA systems.
  • Experience with data security, compliance, and regulated utility environments.
  • Azure certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) is a plus.
