Job Details

Towards the end of our interview process is an in-person interview.

Do you want to help make the world safe from cyber attack?

At Corelight, we believe that the best approach to cybersecurity risk starts with the network. Attackers can evade endpoint detection, firewalls and many other technologies - but they can't avoid leaving digital footprints on the networks they traverse. Built on open-source innovations from Zeek, Suricata and YARA and refined through years of real-world use, Corelight transforms network footprints from physical, virtual and cloud networks into actionable insights. Our customers use these insights to speed incident response and proactively hunt for threats.

This Senior DevOps Engineer role is pivotal for Corelight, focusing on transforming network and cloud activity into evidence for elite defense. The role centers on owning and driving the entire software release lifecycle, with a core focus on designing, developing, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC). The engineer is responsible for implementing and managing advanced deployment strategies, ensuring system stability, minimal downtime, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute a predictable and secure release schedule.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain the continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and automation tools.
  • Develop and improve tooling for build, test, release, and deployment automation, with a focus on robust, reproducible, and secure releases.
  • Implement and manage deployment strategies (e.g., canary, blue/green) and rollback procedures to ensure system stability and minimal downtime.
  • Own and drive improvements for the entire software release lifecycle, including infrastructure-as-code (IaC) for staging and production environments.
  • Work with Product and Project Leads to define and execute a performant, predictable, and repeatable release schedule and strategy.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends in DevOps and release engineering to drive continuous process improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex deployment and environment issues.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Release Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Software Engineer with a strong focus on CI/CD.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in designing scalable and efficient release and deployment solutions.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Golang and C++.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools, especially GitLab CI/CD.
  • Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Requirements
  • Familiarity with NDR solutions such as Zeek and Suricata.
  • Strong practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Pulumi, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet).
  • Experience building and maintaining centralized artifact repositories (e.g., Artifactory, Nexus).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

Fueled by investments from top-tier venture capital organizations such as Crowdstrike, Accel and Insight, Corelight is the fastest growing network detection and response platform in the industry. Our customers trust us to protect mission-critical assets in leading enterprises, government, and research institutions worldwide.
