Rust Developer

Role: Rust developer
Location: St. Paul, MN (open for remote)
Duration: 12 months with a possibility of extension

• We are looking for a strong, hands-on leader with experience working in a globally dispersed team. We are looking for collaborative and creative associates that thrive in a team environment, creating solutions for challenging customer driven business needs.
• Work on the inception phase of projects, including collecting requirements, suggesting methodologies and technologies, and release planning.
• Active researcher, keeping up with the latest trends in software development.
• Influence and strengthen the development culture of the team.
• Inspire, mentor, and encourage globally dispersed developers to apply industry's best practices.
• Design, implement, and support our solutions and applications.

You need to have:

• 2-5 years of developing software using object-oriented design and implementation.
• 2-5 years of experience in RUST programming language.
• Familiarity with using Cargo (package manager) is crucial.
• Experience with developing embedded or cloud applications.
• Foundational understanding of AWS/Azure Cloud services and solutions.
• Object Oriented Methodologies OOA, OOD, OOP, Design Patterns.
• Ability to effectively communicate with others both written and orally, with good interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate would have one or more of the following:

• Experience with RUST programming language.
• Development for edge or cloud applications.
• Create efficient, reusable, modular, and maintainable code in RUST.
• Ensure code quality and standards.
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner/Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals is a plus.
• Experience working with cross functional teams as well as globally dispersed teams a plus.
• Good problem-solving skills
• Experience building highly reliable applications, requiring minimal support and maintenance.
• Experience with RESTful API or GraphQL.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience using build and deployment tools (GitLab or Jenkins or AWS Build/Deploy).
