Job Description:

• Exercise your passion for engineering by engaging in rapidly developing and deploying new and innovative, next generation solutions that set L3Harris Seabed Systems apart from our competitors.
• We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Intern, Systems Engineer. The role supports the technical success of the product, from an overall systems engineering perspective, working all aspects of the full systems life cycle development process (the big V).
• With general supervision, this individual will work closely with the Senior System Engineers to develop hardware / software requirements definition, decomposition, allocation, management, and verification / validation of technical products and systems.

Essential Functions:

• Basic understanding of Systems Engineering and the System Engineering Processes
• Collaborate with other Systems Engineers, project leaders, and immediate Supervisor in the development of work products, including System Specifications, Logically Derived and Linked Requirements, Interface Definitions, System Diagrams, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Systems Analyses, Trade Studies, and Detailed Designs.
• Assist in the performance of requirements analysis and decomposition using DOORS and other system engineering practices.
• Participate in / present at / develop and coordinate engineering artifacts at program design reviews to relevant stakeholders
• Ensure quality through adherence to the Quality Systems Manual, applicable Standard Work Instructions, and other standards invoked internally or contractually.
• Able to work under general supervision to set objectives.
• Must have attention to detail
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with internal and external customers
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well with individuals within and outside of the organization and have a strong drive and sense of ownership
• Experience using Microsoft Office products

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Soft skills (i.e., time management, conflict resolutions ...)
• Experience with DOORS, Cameo suite of MBSE tools or similar, MS Visio
• Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success
• High level of personal motivation and initiative to learn and acquire new skills.
• Coursework and/or experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, systems analysis and design, system performance modeling, integration and/or project management, and/or model-based systems engineering
