Job Details

Title: Sr. Financial Systems Analyst

Location: Oak Brook, IL (onsite 5 days/week)

Duration: Contract-to-hire after 90 days

Our client is looking to hire a Sr. Financial Systems Analyst on a 90 day contract-to-hire basis. This person must love data which will be used to inform decisions for the company. They must have very strong communication skills across all channels and be driven to succeed.

Responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the organization s financial systems, with a focus on ensuring data integrity, process efficiency, and alignment with business objectives. This role partners with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to analyze requirements, implement solutions, and provide ongoing support for financial applications (such as ERP, EPM, and reporting tools).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for financial systems (e.g., IBS/Iptor, Oracle ERP, EPM, SAP, Hyperion, etc.).
  • Analyze, design, and implement system enhancements, integrations, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Finance and IT teams to gather requirements, document business processes, and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Manage and support data integrations, user access, security, and reporting within financial systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including process flows, user guides, and training materials.
  • Lead or participate in system upgrades, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX, and audit requirements.
  • Provide end-user training and support for financial applications.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend optimizations.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with the IBMI/AS400 ecoystem, including applications from the IBS/Iptor family of products.
  • Experience with data extraction and integration.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools, including Snowflake and Power BI, for data visualization and reporting.
  • Familiarity with ERP/EPM systems (e.g., IBS/Iptor, Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, Workday).
  • Understanding of data integration, reporting, and security administration.

Must Have

  • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
  • IBS/Iptor experience (this is a must at this point, may waive in future)
  • 7+ years of experience in financial systems analysis, administration, or support.
  • Strong knowledge of financial processes (GL, AP, AR, FP&A, consolidations).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
