Job Summary:
We are seeking a Systems Administrators to support both classified and unclassified systems in a regional research facility.. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the security, availability, and performance of mission-critical IT infrastructure, while maintaining compliance with government regulations and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Administer and support various operating system distributions, servers, and network infrastructure
Oversee system installations, configurations, and compliance with Government requirements
Implement and execute system and software testing procedures
Monitor, evaluate, and respond to system and network security incidents
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for systems and networks
Evaluate and recommend hardware components and software solutions
Present security principles and technology solutions to diverse stakeholders
Collaborate and interact with IT professionals across multiple teams
Provide guidance and technical support to staff and customers

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Science and Technology, or related Engineering/Science field, plus 4 years of relevant experience
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered

Special Requirements:
Ability to obtain and maintain required clearances for classified system support
Strong background in networking and Linux administration

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Advanced Linux administration skills
Proficiency with VMware virtualization
Experience with LDAP authentication and management
Knowledge of enterprise storage and systems management tools (SCCM, Centrify, Puppet/Foreman, Red Hat Satellite)
Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy
High-level networking skills, including integration in heterogeneous environments
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Flexibility in adapting to changing priorities

Work Environment:
Based in a regional research and development environment with both classified and unclassified systems
