In the role of CAD Technician, we'll count on you to:

  • Create detailed electrical designs for facilities, including lighting systems, power systems, communications, security and fire detection in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Create or revise drawings per client standards.
  • Organize CAD files per program requirements and company standards.
  • Coordinate drafting tasks with designers and engineers to complete projects on schedule.
  • Create detailed electrical designs for facilities, including lighting systems, power systems, communications, security, and fire detection in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Perform basic system calculations, drawing production, some master specification editing, and cost estimating assistance.
  • Perform assignments utilizing standard engineering techniques and procedures under the supervision of a licensed professional.
  • Direct the efforts of less-experienced CAD Technicians as needed.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Technical degree or a minimum of 3 years related industry experience
  • Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure
  • Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools
  • Experience with 3D Coordination tools
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits are essential
  • Intermediate understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
