Job Details

Position title: Sr. UI/UX Designer

Location: Austin, TX

Duration: 6-12 Months contract

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, usability testing, and analytics.
  • Create user personas, journey maps, workflows, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Design and iterate responsive interfaces for web and mobile applications.
  • Translate business and program requirements into compelling UX/UI solutions.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless handoff and implementation of designs.
  • Maintain and evolve Clients design system, ensuring brand and accessibility standards.
  • Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design (WCAG standards) in all experiences.
  • Analyze user behavior to inform continuous improvements and A/B testing.
  • Support utility clients and internal teams with custom digital solution designs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Design, HCI, UX, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7-10 years of UX/UI design experience, preferably in B2B SaaS or service-based industries.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating UX design process and final outcomes.
  • Understanding of front-end development concepts (HTML/CSS/JS) a plus.
  • Experience with accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG) and user testing tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in energy, utilities, or sustainability-related sectors.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Ability to present design concepts to clients and stakeholders effectively.
  • Passion for environmental impact and social good through design.
