RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Principal UX Designer in Jersey City, NJ.
Duties:
* Translating complex user feedback into comprehensive visions and developing an informed, long-term view of our client's needs
* Generating high level, conceptual designs
* Bringing business ideas to life, through sketching, wireframing, prototyping, testing, writing, and coding
* Validating design visions with our users
REQUIREMENTS:
* An undergraduate or graduate degree is preferred, but we would also consider people with a certificate in user-experience design; We believe excellent designers can come from many different subject areas
* Demonstrable experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams and managing stakeholders
* Comprehensive design skillset: Experience at both ends of the design spectrum - high-level strategy to crafting visual design details
* A digital portfolio we can review online is required
* A demonstrated ability to design and build digital experiences
* An ability to mentor other designers and work across teams
* You have a powerful impulse to improve existing designs, invent new experiences, and perform better than our competition
* You exhibit a strong build sensibility and can easily transform intricate challenges into concise client solutions
* You show competence and enthusiasm for working in/across teams and can manage stakeholders
* Excellent communication
* You have a broad set of design skills, which might include visual and graphic design, information architecture, prototyping, front-end coding, strategic design methods (such as design thinking), user research, or writing
* You are fluent in UX and other design software: Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc.
* You are familiar with design systems and how to use them; Design brings you joy, and it shows
* Experience in financial services is preferred but not required
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
