Role : IT Administrator

Location : Houston, TX (Onsite)

Full-Time Role

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead system implementation, integration, maintenance, and operations
  • Provide system engineering and administration for development, test, and production environments of hosted systems.
  • Responsible for managing managed network infrastructure.
  • Design and lead deployment of technical projects
  • Set up and maintain IT asset inventory.
  • Manage Windows (Windows 2008, 2012 - 2022 Servers)
  • Manage Virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Manage some Linux Virtual Servers
  • Windows Active Directory
  • Terminal Server environment
  • SQL Server 2008,2014,2019
  • Make systems and processes more efficient by employing best-in-class technologies and tools and effectively utilizing people.
  • Create processes and identify tools that enhance operational workflow and that improve internal customer impact.
  • Troubleshooting difficult problems, sharing knowledge, and mentoring others.
  • Program, script and automate routine tasks.
  • Provide On-Call support
  • Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in a related field or relative experience.
  • 5+ years experience as a systems administrator or systems engineer with Windows Servers, CentOS, Red Hat, or Debian operating systems
  • Working Knowledge in AWS Cloud environments
  • Excellent analytical and problems solving skills: experience troubleshooting complex systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Windows-based Servers.
  • Experience with system monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix or Cacti.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and resolve common issues quickly.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks; be logical, organized and work well with others.
  • Ability to manage timely, effective response to internal customer needs and effectively communicate project status as requested and required.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills including the ability to communicate between technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
