Senior Engineer QA

Reports To: QA Manager / Director of Solutions Testing

Position Summary:

The Senior Engineer QA plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of enterprise applications through strategic test planning, execution, and automation. This individual will lead quality initiatives across projects, mentor QA engineers, and collaborate closely with development, product, and infrastructure teams to drive continuous improvement and defect prevention. The role demands advanced technical proficiency, strong analytical skills, and the ability to balance hands-on testing with process leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead test planning, design, and execution for complex system integrations, enhancements, and production releases.
• Define and maintain structured test strategies encompassing functional, regression, integration, and API testing.
• Oversee the creation and execution of automated and manual test scripts to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Collaborate with product and development teams to validate requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct root cause analysis of critical defects and production issues to identify preventive measures.
• Partner with engineering and business teams to implement corrective actions and process enhancements.
• Track and analyze quality metrics to identify gaps and improve overall testing efficiency.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams across Salesforce, MuleSoft, IVR, and other enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to align testing within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Support integration testing across internal and third-party systems, ensuring seamless end-to-end quality.
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, providing technical direction and promoting best practices.
• Review test cases, automation scripts, and defect reports for completeness and accuracy.
• Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning within the QA function.
• Maintain clear and detailed documentation of test cases, execution results, and test environments.
• Communicate test progress, risks, and results through dashboards and project reports.
• Contribute to QA process documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge bases.

Required Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in software testing, including functional, regression, integration, and API testing.
• Experience working with QA tools such as Jira, SpiraTest/TestRail, Postman, SQL, and version control systems.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD environments and automated testing integration.
• Experience in Financial Services or Auto Finance industry preferred.

Education:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM field (Master s preferred).

Certifications (Preferred):

• ISTQB Advanced Level Test Analyst (CTAL-TA)
• ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL)
• Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)
• Certified Agile Tester (CAT)

Skills Required:

• Advanced Functional & API Testing (REST/SOAP).
• Proficiency in QA automation tools and frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD (Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with Enterprise Technologies (Salesforce, MuleSoft, IVR systems).
• SQL and data validation experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
