Machine Learning Operations Manager

I'm working with a mission-driven tech company focused on building secure, scalable systems that power AI platforms and complex data pipelines used globally. Their work supports high-impact public safety efforts and advances digital trust through advanced machine learning and infrastructure design. They're currently seeking a MLOps Manager to lead a growing team responsible for infrastructure operations across AI/ML platforms, observability stacks, and compliance-critical systems.

Details:

• Full-Time, Permanent Position


• Salary: $190,000 - $210,000 + full benefits


• Hybrid Schedule (Austin-based - 2 days on-site)

Responsibilities:

• Managing and mentoring an MLOps/DevOps team responsible for supporting APIs, ML model lifecycles, and real-time AI-powered applications.


• Designing and scaling cloud-native infrastructure to support training, deployment, and monitoring of machine learning models and real-time data pipelines.


• Leading observability initiatives using tools like OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana


• Overseeing infrastructure automation using Terraform and Spacelift


• Driving cross-team collaboration to ensure seamless deployment of data-driven products


• Maintaining a strong focus on infrastructure security, compliance, and resiliency

Mandatory Requirements:

• 10+ years of hands-on DevOps/SRE experience in cloud-native environments


• 5+ years of experience leading or managing engineering teams


• Strong background in supporting AI/ML workflows (e.g., AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, or custom pipelines)


• Advanced proficiency with AWS, Terraform, and observability tooling


• Experience working in high-compliance or security-sensitive environments is a plus
