Job Details
Position: Sr. Network Administrator
Duration: 12 month contract
Location: On site in Greenville, NC
Start: Immediate start
The Network Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s network infrastructure. This role involves ensuring stability, security, and optimal performance of our network systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network administration, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Working out of business hours or over the weekend may be punctually needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Management: Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
- Keep the different IT Networks (Office & Production Network) in a healthy status, performing any preventive activity to improve networks performance, availability and resilience
- Maintenance and Support: Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolution to ensure minimal downtime.
- Upgrades and Updates: Plan and execute network upgrades, patches, and updates to ensure systems are current and secure.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed network documentation, including configurations, procedures, and network diagrams.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members and departments to support overall IT operations and projects.
- Level 2 Support: Provide technical support and training to local IT teams regarding network-related issues and best practices.
- Participate in projects with other IT teams or business teams, identifying and addressing the needs around network infrastructure and making sure that tasks are delivered on time
Required Qualifications/Professional Experiences
- 7+ year experience of working in network administration
- Technical IT Degree
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls), network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and network monitoring tools.
- Configure and maintain Meraki environment
- Industrial manufacturing and Operational Technology environments (ie. Programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Remote terminal units (RTUs), Human-machine interfaces (HMIs), Distributed control systems (DCSs))
- Network remote administration.
- SDWAN monitor and management with our partner collaboration.
- Cisco WiFi management.
- Security knowledge on Firewall administration (certifications is a plus)
