Role: Technical Writer
Rate: $45/Hr on w2 / 45/hr on c2c
Work Mode: Hybrid, assume 3-4 days from office, client said "limited teleworking may be allowed"
Location: 700 Pratt St, Baltimore, MD
Duration: 12 Months

SDAT is seeking a contractual Technical Writer to support our team in Baltimore, MD. This is a short- term contractual assignment scheduled to last 9 months. It will be an in-office work schedule. (Office
work will be required in order to meet with subject matter experts and executive staff.) This position will research, write and create a new RFP for the Maryland Department of Assessments
and Taxation, Real Property Assessment and Valuation System replacement. This position will need to communicate effectively with agency and non-agency staff in order to
gather information to create a high-quality document that is clear, concise and understandable to both technical and non-technical personnel, and meet all of the minimum requirements of the State of
Maryland RFP process.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Must have excellent verbal and written English Communication Skills.
Research, outline, write, and edit content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements.
Gather information from subject-matter experts to develop, organize and write technical specifications. Thorough understanding of industry, IT language and requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor s degree in information technology, computer science or related field.

Experience:
Six (6) years experience as an effective IT Technical Writer.
Experience creating a Request for Proposal (RFP) or other IT technical documents for a large- scale company, state or federal organization.
Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Superb written communications sills, with a keen eye for detail.
Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter.
Professional Certification.
Experience working with SQL Server, Java, Cloud-Computing, Stored Procedures, APIs, Microsoft Datacenter.

Note: A bachelor s degree may be substituted for 2 additional years experience as a technical writer.
