Field Engineer

TITLE: Field Engineer

LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA

ANTICIPATED DURATION: 6 Month Contract to Hire

Responsibilities:

• Perform installations, repairs, upgrades, and troubleshooting on healthcare imaging equipment.
• Liaise with in-house support teams and conduct pre-scope of work conference calls.
• Install, de-install, upgrade, and maintain imaging systems.
• Provide preventive maintenance and remote diagnosis support.
• Document service events in client s CRM tool in detail.
• Test repaired instruments in all operating modes.
• Develop proficiency in Ultra Widefield retinal imaging systems, OCT, and Fiber Optic technology.
• Maintain inventory accountability for parts, tools, and calibrated equipment.
• Present as a Manufacturer Field Service Engineer at end-user locations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3 to 4+ years of related IT engineering experience, with a focus on networking.
• 4 to 5+ years of networking experience including IP subnetting, OSI model, LAN/WAN/WLAN/SDWAN, routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, RIP).
• Experience with PC, Server, and network integration.
• Skilled in instrument operation, maintenance, and repair procedures.
• Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and troubleshoot effectively.
• Log gathering and remote troubleshooting experience.
• Case management experience (Salesforce Service Cloud preferred but not required).
• Ability to manage expenses, travel arrangements, and customer interactions.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Technical aptitude and quick learning ability for new technologies.
• Organized, independent, proactive problem solver.
• Ability to work for any US-based company without sponsorship.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $33.00 to $35.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
