About the Role


A government-focused technology services firm is seeking a Data Architect with MuleSoft expertise to lead the integration and migration strategy for a large-scale Salesforce Government Cloud implementation. This role requires deep experience designing secure, compliant data solutions and managing complex integrations with external systems using MuleSoft. This is a fully remote, conract-to-hire role.




Key Responsibilities




  • Develop and maintain scalable integration solutions using MuleSoft and Salesforce-native tools




  • Define data models, integration flows, and architecture in collaboration with analysts and engineers




  • Lead secure data migrations from legacy systems into Salesforce, ensuring compliance with federal standards




  • Perform data mapping, cleansing, validation, and transformation activities




  • Write and optimize ETL scripts using SQL, Apex, or Python




  • Contribute to documentation for security and compliance (including ATO support)




  • Create technical documentation including migration plans, integration specs, and gate review deliverables




  • Provide guidance on data governance, data quality, and integration best practices




  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and troubleshoot integration issues post-deployment






Required Qualifications




  • 6+ years in data architecture, integration, and migration




  • 3+ years working specifically on Salesforce data integration and migration projects




  • Active Secret clearance or Public Trust




  • U.S. Citizenship and U.S. residency for 3 of the last 5 years




  • Active MuleSoft certification (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Developer or Integration Architect)




  • Salesforce Platform Integration Architect or Administrator certification




  • Experience using tools like Data Loader, Workbench, VS Code, Salesforce CLI




  • Strong scripting skills in SQL, Apex, or Python




  • Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA)






Preferred Qualifications




  • Experience supporting large-scale federal IT programs




  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills




  • Background in data quality frameworks and governance in regulated environments




  • Prior success in Agile team environments supporting remote federal projects
