Job title: Java Developer
Location: Mclean, VA
Duration: Full time contract position
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated individual with solid experience in software development and DevOps. The selected candidate will contribute to designing and developing next-generation credit risk portfolio management tools in Client's AWS cloud-based high-performance computing environment.
Responsibilities
- Interface with senior management and end-users to support analytics tools.
- Design, develop, and support applications in the financial modeling and research space.
- Review and implement best practices for code quality and software development.
- Support operational execution for market and credit risk applications.
- Develop, test, and maintain production-grade applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on software development experience.
- At least 2 years in a senior-level role with business-facing responsibilities.
Required Skills
- Java 8+, SpringBoot, RESTful Web Services
- AWS Cloud, Grid computing
- UNIX Shell Scripting, Docker, Jenkins, Git
- JSON, XML, Python
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of fixed income products, mortgage finance, or experience in banks/funds.
