StarsHR has the following long-term contract role available with our client in suburban Pittsburgh.
Embedded Linux Engineer
We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of 3+ yrs. of relevant experience in the following.
- Develop drivers for peripheral devices including Low and High speed interfaces.
- Hardware communication between multiple heterogeneous cores.
- Configure Linux environments for different reference boards.
- Modify and perform Yocto builds for new functionality.
- Provide SW to support HW test validation team.
Requirements:
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with minimum 3 years of experience.
- Hands-on experience developing firmware, boot code and SW using high performance 64 bit Arm processors.
- Hands-on experience developing drivers for SPI, I2C, USB, PCIe, MIPI, Ethernet, eMMC.
- Development experience with Embedded Linux (e.g. Yocto) or embedded RTOS (e.g. QNX) experience is highly desirable.
- Experience of leveraging and developing on top of Open source software frameworks is highly desirable.
- Good proficiency with C/C++.
- Proven track record and experience building and delivering complex embedded SW products.
