Summary:
Our client is seeking a skilled Acoustics Software Test Engineer to support regulatory testing for hearing-related features in next-generation consumer devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acoustics and signal processing, hands-on experience with measurement tools, and a passion for validating world-class audio experiences. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and contribute to the advancement of innovative hearing technologies.
Responsibilities:
Support regulatory Acoustics Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) testing for the Hearing Test and Hearing Aid features.
Execute acoustic measurements and tool validation to ensure system compliance and accuracy.
Improve testing and validation processes through SOP development, tool enhancement, and documentation.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to troubleshoot and optimize measurement setups.
Maintain organized records of results, methods, and test documentation.
Key Qualifications:
Solid understanding of acoustics and signal processing fundamentals.
Proficiency with SoundCheck audio measurement software.
Experience executing and debugging scripts in Python and MATLAB.
Familiarity with acoustic measurement equipment such as ear simulators, audio interfaces, and signal conditioners.
Strong ability to work independently and solve complex technical problems.
Excellent organizational skills, including documentation accuracy and timely communication.
Education / Experience:
3 5 years of relevant industry experience in acoustic validation or audio QA.
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Acoustics, Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Hearing Sciences.
Location: Cupertino, CA (Onsite preferred)
Duration: 6-month contract with potential for extension
Salary Range: $45 $57/hour (DOE)
