Leidos has an exciting opportunity for an Data Scientist to support a Leidos Program Management Office in Virginia. This position is part of a large Defense Intelligence Portfolio supporting multiple service and intelligence programs. Candidates must already possess a TS/SCI security clearance.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Data Scientist will work as a member of the PMO and provide technical and analytical support and information and provide recommendations for data collection, algorithm development, processing, design and exploitation for the operations of Intelligence Community Information Technology Enterprise related tasks and projects; will perform gap analysis between baseline capabilities, end state data integration and heuristics to support data modeling builds, data coalescence patterns for exploitation and data element aggregation and distribution; participate in team algorithm development initiatives for the qualification testing of proposed algorithm implementations across platforms and programs to support data analysis which includes the facilitation of multi-agency and multi-function teams; and will utilize statistics, data mining, and predictive analytics to manage large amounts of data, merge data sources, ensure consistency of datasets, create data visualizations, and build mathematical models and present findings. Reviews and develops technical documentation such as test or event plans, review previous test report findings, recommendations, lessons learned, technical and test reports, trade studies, and technical memorandums
This position will also be required to support other PMO Projects. Functions, and initiatives in line with the portfolio's business strategies as required and directed

Required Qualifications:
- Current TS/SCI security clearance
- Bachelors degree and 10+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience. (Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
- Experienced in extracting and analyzing data from COTS products
- Working knowledge in programming languages such as Python, R
- Knowledgeable of machine learning toolkits
- Excellent problem solving and analytic skills associated with working on unstructured datasets
- Experience with a focus on multiple domains of intelligence or all-source intelligence
- Must have well-developed organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including ability to communicate detailed technical information to peers and non-technical management staff as needed
- Edits, standardizes, or makes changes to material prepared by other writers and illustrators - Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Must have relevant experience in two or more of the following: designing/implementing machine learning, data mining, advanced analytical algorithms, programming, data science, advanced statistical analysis, artificial intelligence, or software engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Intelligence analysis training
- Familiar with US national intelligence partners
- Knowledge of non-linear workflows
- Familiar with Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) development
- Familiar with one or more of the following tradecraft: Activity Based Intelligence, Object Based Production or Anticipatory Posturing
- Knowledge of SIGINT, MASINT, GEOINT, or HUMINT collection or analysis
- Excellent briefing and writing skills
