Network Engineer I

Unison Systems is looking for a Network Engineer I for our national telecommunications client. This will be a long-term month contract. Our client is located in Englewood, CO and offers 1 remote day a week after training and getting up to speed. Candidates must be local as we frequently need to physically touch hardware inside of the lab. Must have a good understanding of routing and switching. Service provider experience is a nice to have.

This person will plan and implement enterprise networks and related hardware and software. Design and document network architecture. Perform assessments on existing technologies to determine performance and capacity gaps. Establish security (firewalls, intrusion detection), connectivity and access parameters. Provide recommendations to optimize network infrastructure. Test and tune security devices and systems. Program routers and switches. Implement communications technologies (data or voice). Manage network services from planning phase through implementation. Solid knowledge of routing protocols, network hardware and software, security technologies and network infrastructure is required.
