Job Title: Operations Engineer

Work Location : Initial onsite training for the first three days, followed by remote work with occasional onsite presence approximately 2 to 3 times per year at the following location: 148 N 48th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85034
Two work schedules are currently available:
Sunday 8:00 PM 4:00 AM, Monday Thursday 2:00 PM 11:00 PM AZ Time; Friday & Saturday - Off
Tuesday Friday 4:00 PM 1:00 AM, Saturday 8:00 PM 4:00 AM AZ Time; Sunday & Monday - Off
Interview Process: 3 video rounds
Candidate Requirements
- Top 3-5 Must-Have Skills:
- Background in Banking or Financial Services
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong critical thinking abilities
- Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service
- Highly proficient with technology and digital tools
Certifications or Degrees Required: Computer science degree is preferred
Job Description: Job Title: Operations Engineer Overview:
The Operations Engineer I provides organizational support to enhance both internal and external customer experience by performing basic troubleshooting for day-to-day operational issues. This role is responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to identify process gaps that impact the organization's service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure successful completion of daily job processing tasks (e.g., scheduling, system backups, file postings) on the Core Processor to support business objectives.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly processes and job routines to maintain seamless operations across enterprise applications for the Credit Union and its members.
- Escalate issues or exceptions promptly to senior engineering staff and IT management.
- Provide on-call support for DSFCU enterprise operations.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills effective in both verbal and written formats, whether in person or over the phone
- Basic knowledge of databases (queries), reporting, and system monitoring
Preferred:
- Bachelor s Degree or college coursework in Computer Science
- 2+ years of relevant work experience (in lieu of a degree)
- Experience with IBM systems
