Application Architect

What does a successful Application Architect do at Fiserv?
As an Application Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. Your expertise will drive innovation and best practices within the development team, ensuring solutions align with business goals and client needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior developers and providing technical guidance while contributing to the evolution of Fiserv's technological landscape.

What you will do:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Conduct advanced coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers and team members.
  • Drive innovation and implement best practices within the software development team.


What you will need to have:

  • 8+ years of experience in software development, including 4+ years with Java, C, C#, C++, or similar programming languages.
  • 4+ years of experience in SQL database management and cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • 4+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and working in Agile methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.


What would be great to have:

  • Experience in the financial services industry.
  • Expertise in security-focused application design and microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes and application performance tuning.


Salary Range

$167,200.00 - $276,100.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey, New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.

For incentive eligible associates, the successful candidate is eligible for an annual incentive opportunity which may be delivered as a mix of cash bonus and equity awards in the Company's sole discretion.
