The Commerce, Growth & Identity (CGI) team is dedicated to three business-critical areas at Disney that will help transform its media business. They create seamless user experiences for consumers who can choose from a wide range of subscription plans, enabling more choice and flexibility. The CGI team is also focused on building innovative and cutting-edge capabilities that will drive subscriptions, engagement, and monetization across Disney's streaming and digital products.

Job Summary

We are looking for the Manager, Product Management - Payment Risk and Fraud Product to help lead our strategies and efforts to improve the overall health and security of our payment and commerce ecosystem. You will provide product leadership for commerce related initiatives, focusing on enabling both internal and external capabilities to combat fraud, while balancing the need for accelerated growth of our streaming services. Reporting to Sr. Manager Payments, Insights, and Fraud, and part of the rapidly growing commerce and payments team, you will be tasked with driving all aspects of preventive risk strategies, as well as day to day management of existing ongoing vulnerabilities and optimizations. This role is a balance of establishing strategy as well as managing day-to-day responsibilities including managing fraud communications with stakeholders across business, operations, analytics, technology and product organizations to maximize commerce objectives combating fraud and improving the health of the payment ecosystem. The ideal candidate is collaborative, makes data-driven decisions, obsesses about the customer, forms strong yet loosely held opinions, and can build trust with all areas of the business. Responsibilities
  • Responsible for establishing, communicating and influencing adoptions of strategies to combat fraud and minimize risk across both direct payment and partnership solutions
  • Manage both short term and long term prioritization of attention to combat fraud vulnerabilities through effective use of data and analysis
  • Collaborate and coordinate with engineering, operations, product leadership, analytics to identify areas of investment to harden our platform and ensure the best options are available to balance the opportunity business growth against the risk of fraud
  • Drive solutions with internal development teams as well as 3rd parties to help solve the product and functional needs of our business to achieve appropriate levels of protection
  • Partner with other stakeholders across TWDC divisions, including Product Managers, to streamline system integrations and enhance existing business processes and features
  • Maintain all necessary JIRA tasks and boards across teams, as well as all necessary communication to internal stakeholders
  • Communicate regularly with product and business stakeholders on active investigations as well as potential vulnerabilities to ensure we active in our combat efforts against fraud
  • Establish a clear strategy and vision for combating fraud leveraging internal and external capabilities

Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience combating ecommerce fraud and/or a successful history of product management in software/commerce/fintech
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • You have experience managing services and strategies that are utilized by direct to consumer products or services; subscription services a plus
  • You have experience using JIRA and other product and project management tools
  • You have a deep understanding of e-commerce, payments and partnership distribution
  • You possess strong knowledge of commerce technology vendors and ecosystems
  • You have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • You excel at coordinating multiple projects at a time
  • You're an analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • You have an ability to make quick decisions to solve complex technical and operational challenges
  • You put focus on supporting team interaction, boosting motivation, and appreciating contributions
  • You're familiar with working on projects with distributed teams, making use of technology and process to overcome the challenges of working with remote staff

The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica, CA and Bristol, CT is $164,492 - $220,660 per year, in San Francisco is $180,154 - $241,670 and in NYC and Seattle is $172,282 - $231,110 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
