Job Title: Senior Planview Portfolio Administrator / Advisor
Duration: 6-Month plus extension
Location: Remote (8am 5pm CST)
Conversion: Must be able to convert to full-time (no sponsorship/H1B)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Planview Portfolio Administrator to serve as the lead expert and advisor for all things related to Planview Portfolio. This role will be the central authority on the platform, responsible for managing critical system changes, guiding development efforts, and ensuring best practices across the enterprise. Unlike developer roles, this position is administrative and advisory in nature requiring deep expertise in Planview Portfolio functionality, configuration, and governance.

The ideal candidate will be able to lead and coach developers, partner with stakeholders, and ensure the system is optimized to support enterprise portfolio management needs.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert (SME) for Planview Portfolio.

Own and manage all critical system changes, upgrades, and enhancements within the platform.

Provide strategic guidance, coaching, and mentoring to development resources and team members working with Planview.

Partner with business stakeholders and IT leadership to ensure alignment between system configuration and organizational goals.

Troubleshoot, resolve, and document Planview issues and system processes.

Drive governance, reporting, and best practices around portfolio, program, and project management within Planview.

Ensure proper integration and data flow between Planview and other enterprise systems.

Lead user training, adoption efforts, and change management initiatives related to the platform.

Required Skills Experience

5+ years of hands-on administration and configuration experience with Planview Portfolio (Portfolio Resource Management, Capacity Planning, Timesheets, Reporting, etc.).

Proven expertise as a Planview Portfolio Admin/SME with the ability to lead others.

Strong ability to advise, coach, and direct developers and stakeholders on Planview usage and best practices.

Experience managing system governance, reporting, and integrations.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical details into business terms.

Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and proven leadership in a systems administration role.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related discipline preferred (or equivalent experience).

Confident leading conversations with both technical and business stakeholders.
