Piper Companies is currently looking for an experienced Metrology/Quality Technician in Buffalo, New York (NY) to work for an innovative and growing global manufacturer. The Metrology/Quality Technician will play a significant role ensuring that the medical device products meet the required high standards and specifications.
Responsibilities for the Metrology/Quality Technician include:
Examining, inspecting materials and products using various measurement tools and techniques.
Completes First Article Inspection activities.
Completes Final Product Verification and Audit Release functions.
Participates in compliance third party, customer, process, and internal audits.
Resolve problems related to supplier performance through coordination of internal activities and interface (including on-site visits) with suppliers, as required.
Qualifications for the Metrology/Quality Technician include:
Exp/ability to demonstrate use of various measurement gauges: (CMM, Optical comparator, micrometer, caliper, height gauge, Oscilloscope etc)
Exp in interacting with suppliers of optical components and machined parts
Exp with MS Word, Excel, MS Access, ERP systems, EQMS (Compliant plus) and Calibration databases
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Associate degree in a technical discipline with at least 3 years of experience in the manufacturing environment, preferably in Quality Inspection.
A minimum of 3 years' experience in the manufacturing environment, preferably in a quality inspection position.
Compensation for the Metrology/Quality Technician include:
Starting Salary is $51,688 + Eligible for O.T
