Title: Snowflake Administrator Location: Miami, FL/Seattle WA (Hybrid) Duration: 6 months No H1B's


JD:
Roles & Responsibilities:
Administer, monitor, and optimize Snowflake environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
Implement and maintain user roles, access controls, resource monitors, and account-level configurations in Snowflake.
Perform capacity planning, cost optimization, and workload management within Snowflake.
Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines involving Snowflake and DBT (Data Build Tool).
Develop automation scripts using Unix shell scripting and Python for routine administration tasks.
Design and manage data pipelines and orchestration workflows using tools like AWS Glue, Lambda, DMS, and S3.
Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless data operations.
Act as a subject matter expert and provide strategic recommendations on Snowflake optimization and best practices.
Proactively identify and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and system issues.
Maintain compliance with SnowPro Certified standards and updates.

Must Haves:
7+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on Snowflake.
SnowPro Core Certification is mandatory. (profiles doesn't have this certification will work as well)
Deep understanding of Snowflake architecture, data sharing, virtual warehouses, and query optimization.
Strong Unix/Linux administration skills with proficiency in shell scripting.
Proven experience in data engineering with DBT (Data Build Tool).
Proficiency in Python programming (preferred) or Java.
Solid hands-on experience with AWS services: S3, Glue, DMS, Lambda.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
