Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is looking for a versatile and highly driven Marine/Waterfront Engineer to join the Civil and Marine Division of our Structural Team! Our structural team is expanding, and we require an innovative engineer who is entusiastic about learning and advancing alongside our company. The role encompasses a wide range of tasks, including practical fieldwork and office-based engineering assisgnments, enabling us to manage the complete spectrum of marine/waterfront inspections and engineering design projects.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site investigations, including marine/waterfront inspections.
  • Assess the condition and significance of deterioration.
  • Analyze damaged components and evaluate remaining capacities.
  • Prepare sketches and assist in developing plans, designs, and cost estimates.
  • Compile engineering reports and other technical documentation.
  • Aid in resolving engineering challenges and issues.
  • Coordinate with other professionals and departments to collect project-related information.
  • Assist in the preparation of standard contract documents, such as technical specifications, and perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or marine engineering is required.
  • 3+ years of engineering experience is essential.
  • OSHA-compliant commercial dive training (ADCI card, international dive certification, or surface supplied dive training from a commercial or military program) is required.
  • Engineering in Training (EIT) certification is required; PE license is preferred or a record of passing the PE exam will be acknowledged.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to effectively communicate with clients and employees.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Compensation: $82,000 to $99,000 (depending on qualifications)
