SAP PP / QM Solutions Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solutions Architect SAP Production Planning & Quality Management to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in analyzing business requirements, designing and implementing SAP solutions, and optimizing operational processes for manufacturing, quality, and maintenance functions. This position demands strong technical expertise, strategic problem-solving abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Implementation:

Develop and implement SAP PP/QM solutions that align with business needs and industry s best practices.

Conduct gap analysis and business blueprinting to identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with SAP functionality.

Define and map new business processes.

Solution Design and Implementation:

Analyze business processes in PP and QM, to identify improvement opportunities and propose SAP-based solutions.

Lead the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP PP/QM/MM/ Supplier Quality modules in alignment with business goals.

Ensure integration with other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, FI/CO) and third-party systems like MES.

Lead SAP-related projects, including system upgrades, rollouts, and enhancements for PP/QM modules.

Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.

Prepare and deliver project status updates to senior leadership.

Business Process Optimization:

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand production planning, quality management, and plant maintenance requirements.

Develop and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing schedules, quality assurance processes, and asset management workflows.

Design end-to-end processes for production orders, preventive maintenance, and quality inspections.

User Training and Support:

Provide expertise and training to end-users and key stakeholders on SAP functionalities.

Offer Level 2 and 3 support for incident management, troubleshooting, and resolving system issues.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, configurations, and custom developments.

Team Leadership and Management:

Lead and mentor a team of PP/QM specialists, providing guidance and support.

Monitor team performance, ensuring timely issue resolution and efficient processing.

Coach and empower team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Technical Expertise and Configuration:

Possess in-depth knowledge of SAP PP and QM modules, including material requirement planning, capacity planning, process order processing, and quality inspection.

Configure SAP systems to meet specific business requirements, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Manage/conduct system testing, legacy data mapping, and integration with other systems.

Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA, Fiori apps, and related technologies.

Expertise in integration points with SAP MM, SD, WM/EWM, and FI/CO modules.

Understanding of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), analytics tools, and interface technologies (IDocs, BAPIs, etc.).

Process Improvement and Optimization:

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.

Stay up to date with the latest SAP PP/QM technologies and best practices.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated on the latest SAP functionalities, industry trends, and best practices in production, quality, and maintenance.

Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies (e.g., IoT, AI, ML) to enhance SAP capabilities.

Conduct root cause analyses to address recurring system or process challenges.

Communication and Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and vendors.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Represent the PP/QM functional area and act as a consultant in your area of expertise.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Sciences, Business Administration, Engineering or related fields.

10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP PP and QM modules, including configuration and support.

Proven experience in at least two full-cycle SAP implementations and system upgrades.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and maintenance strategies in various industries (e.g., automotive, EV, FMCG, etc.).

Skills and Abilities

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across production, quality, maintenance, and EHS departments.

Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA, Fiori apps, and related technologies.

Expertise in integration points with SAP MM, SD, WM/EWM, and FI/CO modules.

Understanding of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), analytics tools, and interface technologies (IDocs, BAPIs, etc.).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior consultants and guide project teams.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong analytical skills, and project management experience.
