Security Architect
Job Details
A professional services firm in New Jersey is actively seeking a new Security Architect to join its growing team.
***This is a Fully Remote opportunity.***
Responsibilities:
- Engage solution teams to understand business drivers, assess application portfolios, and deliver comprehensive security architecture
- Define and manage security workstream tasks, ensuring adherence to established timeframes, and implementing security designs aligned with business goals
- Provide regular and detailed status updates to the leadership team for assigned security workstreams
- Develop high-quality artifacts such as reference architectures, pattern documents, whitepapers, etc.
- Provide architecture design guidance to solution teams and developers, ensuring security is built into future solution implementations
- Maintain a strong relationship with internal architecture and engineering teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a systemic and holistic approach to security
- Conduct threat modelling exercises to identify potential security threats and risks in applications
- Coordinate external penetration tests against the applications as and when necessary
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience with at least 3 of the following: Security Architecture; Threat Modelling; Artificial Intelligence; Identity Management & Authentication; Software Development; Cryptography; Penetration Testing; Cloud Security; Mobile Security; and Network Security
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of Security Engineering, System & Network Security, Authentication & Security protocols, Cryptography, or Application Security
Desired Skills:
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Azure Cybersecurity Expert, or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of Cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and their Security features
- In-depth understanding of Cloud Security principles, best practices. and industry frameworks (e.g. CSA, CIS, NIST, ISO)
- Experience in Security Assessment tools, techniques, and methodologies
- Experience in integrating security into CI/CD solutions, enabling a secure delivery model (e.g. GitHub Actions)
- Working knowledge of Application Security best practices. such as OWASP
- Good knowledge of Security Design, around building Applications Systems
